Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Narelle — founder, daydreamer, and the heart behind Wandering Sol.
Wandering Sol began with a simple, real-life problem: how to carry all the things — groceries, beach gear, market finds — without compromising on style or sustainability.
When my youngest grew out of his pram (aka my unofficial market cart), I went searching for a worthy replacement. What I found were mass-produced, plastic-heavy options that didn’t align with my values or lifestyle. When my first $80 cart broke and landed in landfill, I knew there had to be a better way.
That spark became a mission — to design a cart that was built to last, beautifully made, and light on the earth.
Enter the Wanderer and Nimble Wanderer Carts — thoughtfully designed, Australian-born companions for conscious living. Crafted with sustainably grown bamboo and recycled canvas, they’re built to help lighten the load — physically, mentally, and environmentally. And our plastic-free packaging? That’s non-negotiable.
While we originally launched with both the Wanderer and Nimble Wanderer Carts, we've since focused on our most compact and versatile design — The Nimble — to ensure shipping remains accessible and cost-effective for our customers across Australia.
After a year on the road homeschooling and exploring Australia with my family, we’re back — refreshed, recharged, and ready to re-launch with our hero product: The Nimble Cart, now even better with new colours and features.
